Prosoft’s philosophy to training is based around two pillars. First, is experience; Students need to work with the product in a meaningful way. Going through a wizard and clicking the same spot an instructor clicks doesn’t teach anything. Students will follow along with the instructor and then are presented with lab exercises which are similar to the example but provide room for the student to grow and learn. The second pillar is focusing the course so that students can leave our class and be able to start working right away with the product. Each course concludes with a Capstone exercise. This exercise is by far the most popular part of our courses as it brings in all of the course topics into a large singular activity. Students are presented requirements for a system that they then need to define into functional areas. The class as a whole defines what needs to be done to build the application and then each student creates the application on their own.
